I might be going to meet a college buddy in Australia next July (can't even book that far in advance on Emirates.com) and I was wondering what the best way to do fare+mileage is to get J/F tickets. I have the bulk of my miles with *A. If possible I would like to try their A380 service DXB-SYD. It looks like a 1 way ticket in May runs ~ 6k for J and 8k for F. What are the tricks of the trade with Emirates to maximize mileage usage and minimize cash paid out to get a great seat. Thanks.
