Agree about the HGI Carlsbad--it is fantastic. Location property and service are all amazing. Have stayed there about 5 times over the past 2-3 years, and keep going back....

HGI Del Mar shares a location with the HS referenced in this post. It is very good. Ask for a handicapped room--(I believe 314 and 414)--a few extra feet makes the rooms seem much more spacious. Never stayed in the adjacent HS because it was always quite a bit more expensive.
