In my view, having stayed at both hotels in a harbour view suite and had lounge access, I would choose the IC.

The Marriott's lounge is quite simply disgraceful. There was no service to be had at all, the breakfast options were very limited and it looked and felt cheap. The views are not that great either as they are obstructed by other buildings. After the first day we paid to take breakfast in the restaurant downstairs. I would describe the lounge access in Marriott as a cheap food and beverage package where you serve yourself from a limited buffet.

The suite in the marriott was small and very dated. The bedroom had no window so was quite dark. The lounge had ok views but was furnished in an old fashioned way. Old CRT TVs in both rooms. The bed was very comfortable and better than the IC but that is the only point in which the Marriott is better than IC.

The IC lounge is worth every dollar of that $150. The breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks are substantial and very well made. Service is attentive. The views are panoramic and the lounge feels much more comfortable because it is so light and airy. There is plenty of space to lounge and take in the views. I wouldn't stay at the IC without lounge access.

The suite in the IC is also much better than the Marriott. It is larger and is furnished more tastefully. The bathroom and wardrobe are much larger than those in the Marriott. And there are two LCDs with the one in the lounge being much larger than normal. I don't like the bed that much in the IC, i find it too soft and would prefer something firmer.
