Was not impressed with the Hilton LaJolla/Torrey Pines. Not only no upgrade, but a LONG walk to the "ocean view" room which actually faced storage containers, crummy ventilation, room with mysterious stains, etc. Also no free breakfast.

Would definitely look into whatever Hamptons or Homewoods may exist.
