Did you (locals) see the recent article in the newspaper that HPN, the airport, wants to build a whole chemical de-icing area. Don;t they have one? Or maybe it is very limited right now. All the reseidents arounnd the area (Grewnwich, CT and Rye Brook, NY primarily) are saying no of course, as it will contaminate thier wells (most here have wells) etc... And you know the people in this area, they have the cash and power, thus the control to say NO.
It would be a pitty if the numebr of seats available on each HPN-ORD flight were reduced b/c of F100 phase out and RJ phase-in.
