I don't know if this is going to help any but for the record as quoted from the Lounge Location list for Los Angelas in the Elite guide:
Los Angelas - Air New Zealand International Lounge
Los Angelas - Varig First Class Lounge
Los Angelas (Tom Bradley Term.) ANA Lounge Fuji
Los Angelas (Terminal 2) - AC MLL
Los Angelas (Terminal 7) - UA Red Carpet Club

Why the ANA lounge was giving you trouble is unknown. A complaint to AC and/or *A may be in order.
