I disagree with those who say that it won't make any difference which way you fly -- I always feel better flying west. Even on long westerly journeys (like USA to Singapore or Japan), I typically feel fine the next day. The reverse journey (or even shorter ones, like USA to Europe), I typically feel out of sorts for two or three days. This has been consistent over many trips.

Fly west.
