The shinkansen does not go anywhere near Narita. To get to Narita, you would need to change at least twice someplace in and near Tokyo.
Kyoto to Narita City with one change is possible... but perhaps you're talking about the door-to-door journey from Kyoto Station to the hotel, which requires at least one change of train and one transfer from train to bus.
