Not the reference date depends on when you joined:
Code:
|Reference day|
Classification Reference day
Members who enter on or before September 20 , 2008 October 1, 2008
Members who enter on or from October 1, 2008 Entrance day
So the miles you fly within 2 years of your reference date count towards status. Once the two years are over, a new 2 year period starts.
For example, you have joined on 1st October 2008. You now fly 20,000 miles in September 2010 and 20,000 miles in October 2010. The first 20k miles will qualify you for Gold. But the second 20k miles are in your new qualification year so they will re-qualify you for Gold and not make you Diamond.
All clear?
OK. So if you make gold in Sept 2010 with 20k, you are gold till Sept 31st of 2012?
