at&t actually offers the same $65/mo unlimited worldwide BES data plan.

I doubt they will ever allow the Skype app to work outside the United States. International roaming has to be one of the post profitable aspects of the wireless industry.

The benefits of AT&T's iPhone monopoly have paid off for me: lower prices from Verizon. Now if only Skype on Verizon phones would work outside the USA.
