I'm going to Europe (Netherlands) in August from the U.S. I have a PayPal debit card which works at ATM's in the states. Currently I do my banking with Chase but, I think from what I've heard, there fees withdrawing at ATM's overseas is high. I'm not sure but, I'll have to double check.
I found on PayPal's debit card terms it says this:
Non-US ATM Transaction (Using an ATM machine that is not in the US) 1% This fee will apply even if the transaction does not require a currency conversion.
Exchange Rate & Fee - The currency exchange rate is determined by PayPal based on the current market price and includes a 2.5% Fee. This Fee only applies when PayPal performs the currency conversion.
How does that deal sound? Anybody else used a PayPal debit card to withdraw funds from ATM"s overseas?
