My experience is from February of this year. I had no luck obtaining an award ticket in Business class using my MileagePlus miles, but succeeded using my OnePass miles. Like seanthepilot, I'm not too keen on the LAX-BKK timings, but the times on the eastbound BKK-LAX are perfect.
