Why not deploy A380s on MAD-LHR and feed in flights from Australia, Far East and Africa? That way, pax have easier access to the rest of Europe as well.
Please explain, also, what this would mean for BA-RJ joint ventures if EK were to get more involved, since RJ is already inside OneWorld but EK is not.

A hub in DXB sounds quite unlikely, since I'm not sure what BA would gain from EK's increased business, and it wouldn't seem logical that EK would let BA set their own hub up there in competition.
