Can someone please expain the context of a Middle East hub given the limitations of LHR?

Will BA deploy A380s on Dubai-LHR and feed in flights from Australia, Far East and Africa?

Why not deploy A380s on MAD-LHR and feed in flights from Australia, Far East and Africa? That way, pax have easier access to the rest of Europe as well.
