I've been several times.

1. Be discreet

2. While there are no official gay place, gyms can be cruisy.

3. The UAE blocks gay websites. But lots of guys there use www.gayromeo.com. You have to use a VPN to log in though. I set one up on my US computer that serves me well all around the world.
