So, does this mean that on AA if you earn a new higher status it is automatically reflected on existing tickets?

(On UA if you earn a new status you have to specifically ask for them to re-enter your FF# on each existing ticket. Otherwise they only show your old status and that can hurt you when it comes to upgrades.)
