When I book and pay for WT+ (Europe-Johannesburg), it usually costs me around £1000. I use 30K miles to upgrade to Club. Being Gold I get more miles awarded, so around 22K miles are redeposited to my account.

But those miles that are deposited in your account are included in the GBP 1,000 price of the WTP ticket. Accordingly I think they can be excluded from the analysis.
