I was pricing a vacation to Aruba on their website. The trip was significantly cheaper if I booked the rooms through AAVacations and did the air separately at aa.com

Go figure! I thought you should get a break on doing a package.

Not only that, you still get 3000 miles for the room portion for booking online plus you get 1000 for doing the air separate!
