Does activating the new card that I will be automatically sent qualify as a "product change?"
i had these same questions. i called to switch my card today and the CSR told me that all of my pending bonus miles would be forfeited should i switch cards. this completely contradicts what CO Insider said below in response to your questions.

i would like clarification on this point. i called to switch from the CO World MC to the PPlus card and was told i would not get my bonus miles that are pending. (my card's statement closes on 6/26. so my may bonus miles will post then and of course my June spending bonus miles would not post until July)
i would do want to switch cards now but don't want to lose my bonus miles. anyone have data points on switching during the current promotion?
