CO is not dumb - but they are counting on their customers to be.
We're all fairly savvy folks - we know how our program works, we know the CO product inside out and we know how to determine fair value for this and that.
The average Joe Shmo, even a Gold or Plat member, is unlikely to run these types of offers through the same set of analysis tools we use - and CO is banking that someone is going to do an uneducated impulse buy and go for it.
