DL officials came and removed the person from the metal with police waitng in the jetway. We were 30 minutes late in departing but DL handled the situation well. With that said, the pilot was remiss in not communicting with us about what was happening, especially if and when we were going to depart. Nothing was said for 20 minutes. It was like the plane were empty. We were ignored.

We concluded that the person should be nominated for a Darwin award.
Did he have diplomatic immunity by any chance? At least he didn't make a comment about lighting his shoe.
