I was recently denied lounge access to the Maple Leaf Lounge in YUL (Montreal), even though I'm *A Gold, had my current CO Platinum card with me, and was flying CO to EWR (with BP in hand).

The lounge dragon told me that the MLL was reserved only for customers travelling on AC to the States, and that CO passengers were not permitted entry. She said that if I wanted to use the lounge, I should've booked on AC from YUL-EWR, instead of CO. I objected, mentioned the *A lounge policy (shown below), and asked for a supervisor, but all to no avail.

At this point, I'd like to open it up to the FT community for suggestions on how else I could've or should've handled it, for the next time that my travels take me to YUL.
