With new policies on checked baggage, and fees been an important new incom, Iberia has limited the number of checked bags.

However, they have a benefit for their frecuent flyers:

For flights operated by Iberia,
Club Fiesta Iberia,
Iberia Plus Silver,
Gold and
Platinum
cardholders can always check in an extra item (up to 23 kg) to the amount which appears on their ticket free of charge.



Does anyone know if this benefits are also valid for OW equivalent Tier Status?

That is, if I as a OW Ruby (by AA) can benefit from this perk and check an extra bag?

I called IB and the operator told me yes, but in the airport they refused, and I cant find anything in their web site that clears the doubt.
