To get back to the OP, the pax in 1F was most definitely not a Prem. They don't behave like that because they don't have to. They HAVE arrived, rather than simply pretending that they have. On the few occasions I have seen Prem pax, they have behaved like true gentelmen.
Reminds me of the BA cabin crew member (whom I know socially) who told me that First Class pax are much nicer than other pax, particular CW pax, because they "have nothing to prove".
I'm afraid I regard these kind of generalizations with enormous scepticism. I can think of a couple of Prems who definitely behave with a DYKWIA attitude, yet I'm sure most don't. The same is true of F pax. And CW pax. There may be some small statistical differences, but most of these stereotypes seem to be generated in the eye of the beholder.
