This coming Wednesday morning (8 am) I will take my first flight since making Gold and on my way to making Plat. I bought and requested upgrade for both segments of the flight. Here are my questions - If there are seats left by Tuesday morning, will I automatically get it then, or will AA hold the seats till just before flight before giving one of them to me? If I do get the seat assigned on Tuesday, is it actually 24 hours or a day, meaning,, will I know if I got upgraded for both flights at the same time, or do I have to check around 12 noon on Tuesday for the second segment? Maybe it's not much for most of you folks, but I'm very excited, so please don't laugh too hard!
