The first transpacific flight I ever did on UA was back in 1998: UA1 from LAX-HKG. It was a 747-400 (N195UA) and I was so excited to see the (then) brand-new C-class seats on the upper deck. It was also the first and only time I experienced the famous Kai Tak landing.

UA1 LAX-HKG in 1998 was also my first time in the then-new seats though we sat on the lower deck in C. They seemed so awesome at the time... far superior to the old C seats (we had those on the return HKG-SFO and they were awful).
