I had to fly from Paris for a late-afternoon meeting yesterday in EDI and back to CDG at lunch time today.
Had two choices: 250€ on BA via T5 or 650€ nonstop with over 2 hours on awful Avro. Ok, I lost some 2+ hours each way and gained a couple of kgs at F T5 lounge. Wonderful wines, Noble Cuvée 1999 Lanson, varied hot buffet plus à la carte menu.... This morning on domestic EDI-LHR was served hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, tomato, mushrooms. Of course as Gold, BA let you preassign your seat, with no hassle to try to OLCI early (1D on both domestic, bulkhead 12 on 767, 5C on LHR-CDG (meaning C seat). Each time (even in row 12), the FA asked me to hang my jacket. Twice called by name. Mind you, all this was in Y, paying about €50 by segment. Wow.
