The original article (from "Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation") didn't have "quotes" about the San Juan hub.

It says "he confirmed" three things. All of these are true, but they don't equate to a closure of the Eagle hub in San Juan:

* 2008, American mainline officially downgraded SJU from hub status to "spoke".
* shortly after that, Eagle moved about half it's SJU fleet of regional aircraft to Dallas, and
* over the past year or so, Eagle starting service to a few communities near military bases (although none of these are related in any way to SJU or Miami).
My point was the DMN lead 'No downsizing at San Juan, American Eagle says' was not a direct quote and the end 'non quote' about maintaing 'very significant presence' is not direct either. Whether AE adds flights, drops flights or maintains its current schedule at SJU only time will tell, particularly since its fate may be in the hands of a new owner anyway.
