Some answers for you -
[list=a][*]Yes, makes perfect sense. More flights are being operated with the 767-300ER International configuration. The entire 767 fleet is going to be re-configured to 2-classes. The Hawaiian aircraft are allegedly going to be done first, which is why the 3-class aircraft are operating HNL flights. [*]No, no refund. Remember, there is NO Business Class on flights to Hawaii. The F and J cabins are combined into F. The J seats are still miles better than the Hawaiian F seats, which have only 40" pitch. The J seats have 60" pitch, so you're still much better off. There is no Business Class award for travel to Hawaii. [*]It's possible. You don't mention your elite status on AA. It's worth checking closer to the date of travel, but whilst it's possible, it's probably quite unlikely.[/list=a]
