Never saw it in HI, but saw once in ES.

It happened in ES Chicago (the one on state st), the man came during evening reception. It was serving mini-burgers, he grabbed more than half of the buns and beef patties in his bag, then walk off from the back door. What's worse is since he had empty out the buns and patties, I asked the kitchen staff if there is still more, I was told no, that's all they have for the day.

He clearly knows his way to go, probably did it many times already, as this ES lobby only for checkin, everything else one floor above. He knows that there is a door at the attrium would lead him to stairs off the street, no one can catch him. He even know each time he is in line he only grab about 5, but he is in line all the times, never leave the line to eat.

Reported to the front desk, manager wasn't on duty, but they didn't even try to get security. The next day saw the manager, told her the problem, she didn't give a damn about what I said, don't even apologize. This is obvious a problem at that property. And it is not fair to give away food to street people while guest staying in the hotel have nothing left to eat.

Since then, never back to that property.
