This has happenned to me before on the SJC 767s. When they first put the flight into the system, they leave it as 2 class. A couple of weeks later they change to the 3 class. In the spring, they were running 2 Flagship 767s between SJC-JFK daily. Now, I think they dropped to a 767 and 737. I would check the reservation a couple weeks before the flight to see they didn't change it.

So, I redeem 40k for an award ticket from PIT-SFO and return SJC-JFK-PIT. So far, so good.

I later realize that I'm in 3B from SJC-JFK on a 767 (not sure if it's -200 or -300). In either case, that's F on a three class, right? I always thought that I was supposed to get business on this type of award--is this correct? Are the AA gods smiling on me?
