So, I usually fly United and never any carrier out of *alliance. I usually do extensive multi-segment trips domestically...attempting to pile on my EQS. My last trip was a 9 segment trip...3 segments to Chicago (spent 2 days there) and 3 to Greenville then 3 back to Phoenix. My trip before that was 8 segments rountrip from PHX-BNA.

On my way back to PHX, I had a Continental flight from Houston to PHX. The gate agent scanned my boarding pass and I saw a red x on her computer. She then tried it again and it failed. She told me to step out of line, give her my ID and another gate agent went to a computer and entered information, gave me back my ID and my boarding pass was accepted.

This bothered me a bit, and it never happened before. Anybody know what happened?
