What is your best "Phrase" for negotiating a lower rate?
I try to keep my rates below $149 just for the companies budget so often when rates exceed that I tell the front desk that the company will only pay $149 and that's that. I would say I get the lower rate 75% of the time, but I did get the boot in Charleston, SC they wanted $179 and my $149 pitch fell flat.
What's you best low rate pitch?
