A couple things....

First, I never said that holding one was bad but spending on it seems like quite a bad idea to me.

Second, I believe there is a less expensive version that you can carry than the $65 version. It earns 1 point for 2 dollars rather than per 1 dollar but since you're not collecting from that spend anyways it doesn't really matter.
