Dollar - $92.99 base rate per day for a economy (Kia Rio)
Thrifty - $96 base rate per day for a economy (Hyuandi Accent)
Maybe I'm missing something, but that seems crazy.
Cruise season. Look at a comparable time frame in, say, October and I'll bet the rates are closer to $30 a day.
For your dates, pick up downtown (anywhere off-airport) and you'll probably get that rate down to ~$40 a day by avoiding airport fees. The train from the airport to downtown is $2.50.
