The contemporary successors, and IMO better overall cameras, are Panasonic LX3 and Canon S90.
I have the latter. Between the larger sensor, F2.0 aperture, and optical image stabilization, I get sharp enough photos at night I've never had to use the neat pop-up flash. Sensitivity up to ISO 400 is good, 640 is very acceptable, and 800 usable.
