In regards to the differences between the new T&C and the old version. The terms and conditions of check certificates have always excluded group rates. The old T&C states: Not valid for Casino charges, deposit/payment for group/meeting/catering functions, or for advance purchased packages, or at concessions within the hotel not owned or operated by Hyatt. (http://www.certificates.hyatt.com/Te...ardsCerts.aspx) The new terms and conditions are stating the same thing but they were trying to make it more clear as to what they mean by group/meeting/catering. The new Terms state: Not valid for Casino charges, concessions within the hotel not owned or operated by Hyatt, packages or rates that require prepayment, deposits/payments for meetings, catering, and group functions, negotiated volume rates (whether paid by the group or on an individual basis) example: negotiated volume business, organization, meeting, convention, and crew rates. Negotiated volume rates are special rates that have been previously negotiated and agreed to in writing by a business, individual, organization, or association in exchange for a block of rooms. According to the new and clearer information we received the new Terms do mean that Corporate rates are not eligible.
Most other rates are applicable, examples are: AARP, AAA, CostCo (including their promotions), Government, etc.
I hope this clears up any confusion our earlier posts caused.

Sincerly,
Chrissi R.

Sorry, could you please clarify this sentence: "According to the new and clearer information we received the new Terms do mean that Corporate rates are not eligible." Are you saying one cannot use the new certs. on corporate rates but one CAN use the original certs on corporate rates?
Just want to make sure I got it right.
