My first CO flight was in 1997 on a then brand new ERJ-145 from CLE-HPN. I remember thinking the 1-2 seating and the small jet were the most innovative invention since the Wright Brothers. I was further astounded that on this <500 mile flight that they served us a box dinner of chicken pasta, roll, desert and even mints.
And to think most of us hate the ER4 now

I do remember when 145 the replaced the ATR-42 on a number of runs out of IAH. And at the time, I thought it was pretty darned neat. Then the 145 started showing up on longer routes replacing 737s......and that development was not so neat.
