Thank you all for your replies. Actually KF miles expire after 3 years, and yes I am well aware of that. (More reason to spend them isn't that so? )

Although I wouldn't say I am "dead-set" on SQ, it is, they are my #1 preference. I've flown with CX (had major backaches with their new non-reclining seats), as well as AC (lost baggage, poor hard product) transpacific a few years back.
