"What a mess!" would be an understatement to describe profuse streams of water coming into the forward Y cabin due to liquid leaking from upper deck on 747 from HKG to SFO. Passengers affected were forced to stand for 2+ hours while the crew used duct tape and blankets to contain the leak. The damage had been done with water having spewed onto passengers and their seats. We were told it was the upstairs galley drain the was overflowing, but never got a full explanation about what was really in the sticky substance (not just water) coming from the ceiling.

Oh...and to top it off...merely a weak apology from the apathetic cabin crew as we disembarked. That's it...no refunds, vouchers, offers of any kind, nada.
