Executive lounge breakfast

Perfectly fine. Did not read Mario's post until after breakfast. Omelettes made to order, no fried potatoes for us North Americans. They do have small hot chilis and chili sauce for the omelette.

Missed the ice cream, but for those close to Singapore, Oscars at the Conrad has it in a number of flavors at the breakfast buffet. Only LarryU manages to eat all the flavors every morning.

Should I return to Bandung, I shall try the restaurant for breakfast.

Just a note, I believe that significant expense went into finishes which are intended to impress. Nothing that is really important to me when traveling. I observed this during the transition from the Sheraton Langkawi to the Westin branding. Impressive lobby. Cheapest tile that could be found in the bathroom. Now this is not the case in Bandung, good finishes are carried through into the rooms. Despite being quite new, little maintainance details that should be promptly repaired seem to be missed. Example: The sink faucet trim is loose. The shower controls for the shower head seem to be stuck in place. Perhaps, I did not yank hard enough.

One high tech feature is the touch pad key for the room. Just place the key against it and it activates. This is the first time that I have seen this. Hallways are somewhat dark and door is dark wood as is activator pad so it took some fumbling seaching for the slot before I discovered the touch pad feature. This is similar to the entry gates on the Singapore MRT. In fact, the elevator pad looks to me to be an exact copy of the Singapore pads.

Still this is an excellent addition to the Hilton Brand in S.E. Asia.
