(!) If you are out of time zone and wish to sleep, there are private rooms where you can sleep away the hours
(2) If you prefer to be entertained ask the lounge managers for some videos/movies and retire to the theatre lounge
(3) Fancy a spa, sauna, massage or tub, ask for an appointment in the SPA. On long layovers I have spent 3 hours in here, finishing with a deep tissue massage then all I needed was a cup of ginger tea and a lie down..
(4) Feeling peckish, tell them what it is you are hanging out for. One afternoon all I wanted was a plate of hot scones and some fresh strawberry jam with loads of cream, 30 minutes later, they arrived.
(5) If you need a walk, come out of the lounge and turn right, 45 minutes later you may consider turning around and retracing your steps.
(6) Need retail therapy, turn left and loosen the wallet.
Have a good flight, TK is very good, amazing how far and how quickly this airline has hit it's straps, 2359hrs you must be heading downunder, enjoy Sydney, the weather's fine, the surf is hot and the beer is cold.
Thanks, BKKROP! Much appreciated. We're also planning to see a bit of the city, if things are considered safe in February of course. Crossing my fingers for calm in that regard.
