-full beverage service is offered on all flights regardless of length. BLI-SEA (35-45 min flight) ELP-PHX (45 min. flight). The flights from LAX-FAT rarely offer bev service on the rj's even though it is about the same length.
-Snacks are always offered for sale in E. You can't find that on any UX flight in E.
-On US's CR900's, the seats were extremely comfortable, particularly the nice cushy headrest.
-My last flight the rj200 probably had an APU that was out (since it was a gate start plus cross bleed on the tarmac). The pilot on taxi actually ran the engines up a bit in order to get more airflow through the stuffy cabin ^. This would never ever happen on a UX rj.

Since there is only one flight a day from FAT with E+, there are clearly more comfortable options than UX when you are doomed to RJ routes.
It seems like UX beverage service on short flights is at the option of the FA. Been on a flight with the "no scheduled beverage service" pitch, but on the same flight with another attendant, and get a minimal beverage service.
