I have never had a problem entering the lounge as GCH at AMS when flying a non-OW carrier (KL)
I saw them refuse a CX DM holder the other week who was flying KLM
Open doors is for BA's own GCH (and higher), not for other OW top elites. There may be special arrangements for CX elites of which I am unaware so stand to be corrected on that if I am wrong.
