Fair enough, and I now realize it's a separate animal from the group fares. I don't know why, though. If they can do a discount for 10 people flying in from anywhere on different days for a business event, and they can do the same discount for a group of 10 people flying together, why not just group it all under the same discount type? "10 people? You get a discount. We don't care about the details, just as long as 10 tickets get bought."
