Thanks for the quick responses! My original intention is to go home in Taipei, stay there for a while (possibly 4 months), and make a "side trip" to Zurich in the middle of stay. Hence the awkward Canada --> Taipei --> Zurich --> Taipei --> Canada itinerary. Sounds like it's not going to work, so I'll think of some alternatives. Thanks again.
