When checking in, it said flight is oversold. I assume this is just for the CVG-ATL leg and not the ATL-AUA leg? We do have some flexibility tomorrow, should I call DL and offer to switch flights? Maybe they get us to AUA a day early and compensate or us? Or just put us on a different flight tomorrow with compensation?
Any ideas? Or do I just need to deal with it at the airport tomorrow?
Thanks for the help!
Normally, just get to the airport a bit early. You want to make very sure that you know what you're getting into if you volunteer. Make sure you know when you'll get to AUA, etc. Otherwise you would be stuck in ATL for days!
In checking the direct DL flights in the afternoon on expertflyer, all are either totally full, or have one seat available in coach. The early morning flight from CVG to ATL is also totally full. So unless they can guarantee that they can get you to AUA on the day you need it, I wouldn't touch the deal.
You may be able to reroute through DTW, MEM or MSP, but I'd make 100% sure that everything is going to work before I'd commit to anything.
