IMHO, you're comparing oranges and apples here, the best and only type of TG planes, which have generous legroom with ordinary and/or even older type of SQ planes.
I have never flown SQ or TG in Y, but based on my few experiences I will choose SQ C even on older plane any day over TG F. Everything, especially service, but also food is wayyyyy better with SQ.
When it comes to Y flights, reading Skytrax comments, SQ also trounces TG with ease, especially as they still have these uncomfortable super-old 747s in service and you never know when is your unlucky turn to get on them.
So, while BKK-LAX Transpacific flights may really be more comfortable with TG because of the seat pitch, it doesnt change the fact that TG is still several steps behind SQ.
Judging by the ending of your post, it seems your provoking statement is more like anti-Singapore political one and several parts of it could have better use in OMNI, not in this thread.
