I'm actually in support of this thread (and supported it in the "Master" Costco thread). While perhaps they are trying to enforce the "new" T&Cs on the certs to the letter, it makes it way too complicated (frankly I'd rather that these not be offered at all rather than the very YMMV issue that we now have). This is similar to my issue before (now resolved - at least reassured by GP Execs) of what rates are considered "eligible" even though they are booked directly with Hyatt.

Note that I was not in favor of an early interest in naming properties that would not allow these certs on a pre-paid stay - pre-paid means already paid by the time you check-in.
