I agree completely, and especially when in Bhutan. I flew there by myself and walked around by myself as much as possible. I was there for work, but I learned that it is quite easy to get a visa if you know someone there. My trip was arranged maybe a week in advance. When I go back, it will be again on my own and I will just hike around on my own.
